Alcohol has been an important part of different cultures around the world for thousands of years now, and it has served many purposes, whether it’s medicinal or recreational. This latest infographic from Wine Bags looks at the usual ingredients found in some of the most popular alcoholic drinks. For example, there’s an intense process behind Absinthe. The beverage, which is high in alcohol, actually requires quite a bit. Crushed grains and boiled water are fermented in a container and then yeast is added and distilled. Grand Wormwood, Green Anise, and Sweet Fennel are then distilled and re-soaked with herbs in what then becomes Absinthe.
